Methodologies, at Madelon Powers Gallery, East Stroudsburg University

My work is included in this exhibition opening September 7, 4-6pm.  Curated by Darlene Farris-LaBar and Hannah Isreal.

This exhibition will examine artists whose practices, procedures, and rules in their disciplines engage in a scientific inquiry. During this process moments of invention and methods is uncovered to assist in how they can re-imagine phenomena and systems of information. By constructing new models of understanding – using visual taxonomy, remembered maps, or the arrangement and rearrangement of ideas and objects – these artists locate us in relation to the world we inhabit. Their interpretations challenge our awareness of our surroundings and our knowledge of the present. Methodologies looks at a how artists create new models of understanding, by questioning their own practice, process, and rules to find answers.
